Three West Ham players have been named in a prestigious Premier League team of the week by analysts and it’s fully deserved.

West Ham stars have probably avoided team of the week selections and match reports on Monday mornings for much of this season.

But they certainly won’t be this week after West Ham cruised to a comfortable 4-0 win in a relegation six-pointer away at Bournemouth.

And the Hammers took an almighty step towards Premier League safety in the process.

It was a Sunday stroll by the seaside for West Ham as goals from Michail Antonio, Lucas Paqueta, Declan Rice and Pablo Fornals put the seal on a brilliant week for the club.

There were also several different assist-makers with Aaron Cresswell, Vladimir Coufal and Jarrod Bowen making the goals.

The victory lifted West Ham up to 13th in the table, six points clear of the bottom three – which is essentially seven points given David Moyes’ side’s vastly superior goal difference.

To a man West Ham were superb. And they showed no signs of tiredness from the roaring comebacks against Arsenal and Gent in the days prior.

With Newcastle romping to a 6-1 win over Spurs one might think their players would dominate team of the week selections.

But three West Ham players named in prestigious Premier League team of the week by analysts and it’s fully deserved.

That was the same number of players the Magpies had in the side.

One man who probably doesn’t agree with the selection is Cherries star Chris Mepham. The defender believes his side ‘completely controlled the game’ and lost to a dogged set piece side.
