Harrison Ashby posted a picture to his Twitter account after West Ham won our friendly match against Swiss side Servette.

And wow, the 20-year-old has undergone a serious transformation during the off-season!

Ashby is a hugely talented young player and is allegedly set for a role with the first-team this season having been promoted to the senior squad by West Ham manager David Moyes.

The young right-back will battle it out with Vladimir Coufal and Ben Johnson for regular action at the London Stadium this season.

He’ll most likely play the Carabao Cup games and perhaps the early qualifying rounds of the Europa Conference League.

Who knows though? If Harrison Ashby impresses David Moyes during pre-season, perhaps he can become a first-team regular.

It certainly seems as though he has been working hard during the off-season…

West Ham youngster Harrison Ashby in great shape

The 20-year-old played during our pre-season clash with Servette on Friday. He impressed during the game.

And Ashby posted a picture after the match:

Wow, Ashby is absolutely ripped.

Compare his new physique to the one we saw from the young Scot last season:

Unbelievable isn’t it!

Ashby is one of the brightest talents to be coming through the ranks at the London Stadium and he was in sensational form for the under-23s last term.

Ashby clearly has all of the attributes needed to make it at the very highest level.

His performance for West Ham against Dinamo Zagreb in the Europa League back in December highlighted that it will only be matter of time before he is consistently included in match-day squads for the senior team.

The 20-year-old is a very solid defender and is a real threat going forward as well.

The Hammers under-23’s is littered with outstanding young players but in my view, Ashby is one of the standouts

The challenge for him now will be to replicate his form with the under-23s at senior level.

Judging by the picture posted by Harrison Ashby, he is more than ready to play for the West Ham first-team.
