West Ham United under-21s produced a really impressive performance and result last night.
Steve Potts took his West Ham under-21 side to Somerset to take on League One side Bristol Rovers in the EFL trophy.
The under-21s are a really exciting group, and there are prosperous times on the horizon for the Hammers, I have no doubt about that.

David Moyes will be absolutely buzzing about the sheer volume of talented young players coming through the ranks at the London Stadium, and so will the West Ham fans.
There was more evidence on show last night that the Hammers have a supremely talented crop of youngsters ready to break into the first-team…
West Ham under-21s on fire
The Hammers youth team wept aside Bristol Rovers in the EFL Cup at the Memorial Stadium last night.
Steve Potts’ side won the match 3-1, having trailed 1-0 in the first-half.

Second-half goals from Callum Marshall (2) and George Earthy helped West Ham to a 3-1 win – quite the feat considering they were playing a League One team packed full of grizzled veterans.
Going away from home and earning a result like that against a team of men has to be classed as a very big statement from the West Ham under-21s.
There are clear and obvious standout players like Gideon Kodua, Callum Marshall, Ollie Scarles and George Earthy – that’s not even including Divin Mubama who is currently with the first-team!
The really exciting thing though is that all of the players currently at Potts’ disposal are huge talents. The future really is very bright indeed.
