West Ham United play host to Freiburg in the UEFA Europa League last-16 second-leg clash tomorrow night.
Freiburg beat West Ham United 1-0 in the first-leg of the Europa League tie out in Germany last week, so we have a really tough task on our hands if we’re to progress through to the quarter-finals.
With the 5:45 kick-off, West Ham are struggling to sell out the London Stadium, with Hammers forward Jarrod Bowen pleading with the fans to turn up if at all possible.
This game is an absolutely massive one for us – progress through to the quarter-finals and we’ll have an incredibly exciting last few months of the season to look forward to.
Hammers boss David Moyes has pretty much a full squad of players to choose from for the big game against the Bundesliga outfit.

However, there is one West Ham United player who is highly doubtful to make the game against Freiburg…
West Ham reporter claims Hammer is likely to miss Freiburg
Hammers reporter Sean Whetstone, who has close links to David Sullivan, has claimed that Maxwel Cornet is a big doubt for tomorrow’s huge Europa League game.
Whetstone took to his X account to provide an update on the Ivory Coast international’s current situation:
Let’s be honest here, if we could pick one player to miss the game tomorrow, it would be Cornet, as harsh as that may sound.
The 27-year-old, who earns £64k-a-week at the London Stadium (Salary Sport), has been a massive disappointment since he joined the Hammers from Burnley in a £17.5 million deal in the summer of 2022.
Cornet has played just 326 minutes of action for West Ham in all competitions this season (Transfermarkt) – one that has been plagued by numerous different injuries yet again.
The former Burnley man is clearly not favoured one little bit by Moyes, and he obviously faces an extremely uncertain future at the London Stadium.
The fact that he probably won’t be available for West Ham for our Europa League clash with Freiburg tomorrow night will not surprise anyone.
