Mohammed Kudus says one of his West Ham teammates was ‘fantastic’ vs Backa Topola in the Europa League

Mohammed Kudus has absolutely raved about one of his West Ham United teammates after our 3-1 win over Backa Topola in the Europa League last night.

West Ham earned a vital three points to kick off our Europa League Group A campaign, and Mohammed Kudus played a key role in getting us back into the game.

The Hammers were nowhere near their best last night but an impressive last 30 minutes was enough to get all three points in the end.

As well as Kudus, James Ward-Prowse played a crucial role in getting West Ham back into the game.

The 28-year-old bagged two assists for the Hammers last night, and he now has seven goal contributions to his name in just five games since moving to the London Stadium from Southampton in the summer.

Kudus was clearly very impressed with his teammate last night…

The 23-year-old Hammers star was speaking to reporters after the match about our 3-1 win last night.

And Kudus absolutely raved about Ward-Prowse, as quoted by WHUFC.com:

“We know James Ward-Prowse has a fantastic delivery and any time we have a set-piece we have a chance to score. On that one I just took my responsibility, made the run and it went in.”

The Hammers certainly look more dangerous than we did last season with Ward-Prowse in the side now.

The way that he’s going, he will easily surpass 20 combined goals and assists this season.

Mohammed Kudus highlighted just how important the 28-year-old was to West Ham’s Europa League win last night.

And I expect to see plenty more of those kind of performances from JWP as the season goes on. What a signing he has proven to be from David Moyes.
