Lyon post shockingly arrogant official tweet ahead of second-leg Europa League clash with West Ham

Lyon have posted an incredibly cocky tweet from their official Twitter account ahead of the the Europa League second-leg clash with West Ham.

The second-leg clash between Lyon and West Ham is a highly anticipated one.

The Premier League and Ligue 1 sides drew 1-1 at the London Stadium in the first-leg clash last week.

David Moyes would have been delighted in the end whilst Peter Bosz would have been disappointed.

Aaron Cresswell was sent off just before half-time on Thursday night. As a result, Lyon dominated possession but the Hammers actually took the lead.

Lyon did equalise but in the end, West Ham didn’t lose the match, and that was vitally important ahead of Thursday’s second-leg clash.

It really is anyone’s game now. The French club have fired shots ahead of the second-leg at the Groupama Stadium though…

Lyon post tweet ahead of West Ham second-leg

The Europa League quarter-final second-leg clash between Lyon and West Ham on Thursday night should be an absolute cracker.

Hopefully the Lyon players actually try to play football this time though, rather than playing up to whoever referees the match on the night.

The Hammers players have already developed somewhat of a siege mentality after what happened at the London Stadium last week.

And it seems as though the West Ham players have had the team talk done for them already…

Lyon’s official Twitter account posted the incredibly arrogant tweet last night:

Sure, it was a tweet posted in jest.

However, I wouldn’t have been happy had the West Ham admin posted that.

It’s just asking for trouble. And hopefully the West Ham players give Lyon plenty of problems in the Europa League second-leg clash in two day’s time.

We still strongly believe were have enough to advance through to the semi-finals of the competition. Let’s all head into the game with belief. When our backs are against the wall, we can achieve anything…
