Jack Wilshere has taken to Twitter and lavished praise upon West Ham ace Declan Rice after his performance against Lyon in the Europa League last night.
The Hammers drew 1-1 with Lyon at the London Stadium, leaving the quarter-final tie finely poised ahead of the second-leg in France next week.

The game was overshadowed by the truly shocking decision by referrer Felix Zwayer to send Aaron Cresswell off just before half-time.
The baffling call to give Cresswell his marching orders kind of killed the game for us, so the 1-1 draw was actually a very good result in the end.

Declan Rice continued to drive the team on and was a hugely influential figure for us throughout the game.
David Moyes would have taken the result in the end and he would have been happy with the instrumental leadership skills of his captain.
Rice didn’t stop running and driving his team on.
If it wasn’t for the farcical decision to send off Aaron Cresswell, West Ham may well have won the game against Lyon. It wasn’t to be in the end but Dec’s performance was one of the few shining lights for the London Stadium faithful.
One former Hammer in particular was incredibly impressed by the 23-year-old midfielder as well.

Jack Wilshere raves about Declan Rice after West Ham vs Lyon clash
The ex-Hammer was pretty close to Rice during his time at the London Stadium.
The pair were close friends and spent plenty of time together off the pitch.
And he is obviously a huge fan of the England international midfielder as well:
That is quite the claim from Wilshere…but we have to agree.
Declan Rice is head and shoulders above 99.9% of the world’s central midfield players and he underlined his unbelievable quality once again last night.
Against Lyon, Dec had 66 touches and made three tackles, four interceptions and two clearances. He made two dribbles and one key pass. From 45 attempted passes he recorded an 86.7% completion rate (Who Scored).
Rice really has reached another level for West Ham this season. And the tweets from Jack Wilshere last night prove just how much he is respected at the very highest level of the game now.
