Sevilla was undoubtedly the hardest draw that West Ham could have been given. But we say bring it on.

The Spaniards certainly won’t be relishing coming up against us. David Moyes has done a magnificent job since taking over at the London Stadium for the second time way back in December 2019.

These are exciting times to be a West Ham fan. We are currently sitting in sixth spot in the Premier League table and have really impressed in Europe. We have some exceptional young talents coming through the ranks as well.

And two of them in particular might have a chance of being in the squad for our Europa League clash with Sevilla…

Sonny Perkins and Freddie Potts, both 18, are very highly rated at the London Stadium.

They have both really impressed at youth level this season and have made their debuts for the senior team as well.

Perkins has actually made three appearances for Moyes’s side whilst Potts has one outing for the senior team to his name.

And both players could be in line for an unforgettable experience by being included in the West Ham squad for our clash with Sevilla tomorrow.

Experience of a lifetime

It is highly unlikely that either of the 18-year-olds will be given any game-time tomorrow considering the importance of the match.

The experience of being part of the squad for an away European night cannot be underestimated, however.

Tomorrow night in southern Spain will be one of the most memorable nights in West Ham’s history.

And it could be an especially magical one for Sonny Perkins and Freddie Potts.
