Insider claims West Ham player with just 8 starts this season could make shock Europa League start vs Sevilla

Mark Noble could be handed a shock start for West Ham against Sevilla in the Europa League on Thursday night.

That’s according to club insiders Claret and Hugh who suggest that Declan Rice is far from certain to start the match after his recent bout of illness.

It is also suggested that Alex Kral is highly unlikely to be brought into the starting lineup by David Moyes.

Noble has barely featured for West Ham so far this season.

My Europa League Predictions.

The Canning Town-born midfielder has played just 695 minutes spread across 14 appearances for the East London outfit this season. Only eight of those outings have been starts (Transfermarkt).

He did enjoy a 30-minute cameo against Liverpool at Anfield on Saturday, however, and despite not having the legs that he once did, he certainly still has a brilliant footballing brain.

And it seems as though Noble may been given another opportunity to shine against Sevilla in the Europa League at The Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán Stadium on Thursday night…

Mark Noble could be handed shock Europa League start for West Ham against Sevilla

Apparently it is far from guaranteed that Rice will be fit enough to start in Spain on Thursday night (Claret and Hugh).

And as a result, Noble could be given the nod in The Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán Stadium, having impressed on Saturday at Anfield.

Firstly, let’s just hope that Dec is indeed fit to start against Sevilla in the Europa League. Whilst we coped without him against Liverpool, he is still vitally important to the way in which we go about our business.

If for whatever reason Rice isn’t ready to start though, Noble will be a very dependable replacement for him.

The speed with which Sevilla play is a lot slower than what West Ham will be used to in the Premier League.

Noble, 34, could very well thrive in this type of game. His experience will be highly valuable as well.

The Europa League clash with Sevilla is our biggest and most important in recent history.

Mark Noble will know only too well how big this game is being a die-hard West Ham fan himself. And he may well have a key role to play for us.

Roll on Thursday night. COYI X
