The door could be wide open for West Ham to sign Aaron Wan-Bissaka, if Manchester United manage to prise Denzel Dumfries away from Inter Milan.

It has been claimed by Calciomercato that Manchester United are currently in talks with Dumfries agents about a £44 million move to Old Trafford in the January transfer window for the Dutchman.

The fact that Man United are even in talks to sign the 26-year-old right-back proves that Wan-Bissaka has no future at the club.

And West Ham boss David Moyes must not hesitate. Wan-Bissaka is absolutely perfect for the Hammers, and the Scot needs to bring him to the London Stadium now.

The East London outfit have been heavily linked with a move to sign the ex-Crystal Palace defender since the summer transfer window.

Manchester United could be prepared to move the 25-year-old on from Old Trafford for as little as £10 million according to the Daily Mail, in order to make way for a new top-class right-back.

And Dumfries may well be that man…

Manchester United signing Denzel Dumfries would be great news for West Ham

The Dutchman could well swap Inter Milan for Man United before the end of the January transfer window, according to Calciomercato. And if that happens, there is no excuse for the Hammers not to bring Wan-Bissaka to East London.

Dumfries is an elite player. The 26-year-old is an all-action defender with energy, stamina and athleticism in abundance. He has been described as a ‘real powerhouse’ by the Northern Scot.

There will be no future for Wan-Bissaka at Man United if Erik Ten Hag signs Dumfries. A move to West Ham would suit all parties involved.

He joined Manchester United in 2019 from Crystal Palace for around £50 million (Independent).

The 25-year-old possesses blistering pace. And that recovery speed would enable us to push further up the pitch, which ties in perfectly with Moyes saying that he wants his team to become more of a possession-based side.

If you are to do that, you need real recovery pace at the back and AWB possesses that in abundance.

The Manchester United right-back is an exceptional defender and is one of the very best tacklers around.

Jamie Carragher once called Wan-Bissaka the best defender in the world in one-on-one situations (The Mirror). Meanwhile, The Athletic describe him as ‘explosive’.

Signing him for around £10 million would be an absolute no-brainer for West Ham. And Manchester United bringing Denzel Dumfries to Old Trafford before deadline day will make it a lot easier for the Hammers to prise AWB away from the 20-time league champions.
