West Ham are the club showing the strongest interest in signing Lille defender Sven Botman according to a report from Sky Sports.
Central defence is undoubtedly an area where Hammers boss David Moyes wants, and more importantly needs, to strengthen at the London Stadium this summer.
Angelo Ogbonna and Craig Dawson are 33 and 31 respectively whilst the jury is still out on Issa Diop.
Meanwhile, Fabian Balbuena has already left the London Stadium.
West Ham chasing Sven Botman
Manchester City, Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur, Crystal Palace and Newcastle United are all allegedly keen on the 21-year-old.
The Hammers are showing the most interest in signing the Lille ace, however, according to Sky Sports.
The 21-year-old Dutchman joined Lille last summer for around £8 million.
In 37 Ligue 1 outings for Lille, the Holland under-21 international averaged 0.9 tackles, 1.5 interceptions and 3.2 clearances per game. He also won an average of 3.2 aerial duels per match during those appearances (Who Scored).
Former West Ham defender Jose Fonte, who has played with both Botman and Virgil van Dijk rates the Lille centre-back as the best central defender he has ever played alongside (Express).
The young centre-back would be an exceptional addition for the Hammers this summer.

Whether Lille will be open to selling him for a reasonable fee that West Ham will be able to afford, however, remains to be seen.
