West Ham United are apparently eyeing up a move for a key Wolves player in the January transfer window.

David Moyes needs to strengthen his West Ham squad in the January transfer window, and it seems as though the Scot has identified a Wolves star as one of his key targets.

Hammers centre-back Kurt Zouma continues to struggle with his fitness, whilst Nayef Aguerd will be missing for the next four or five weeks due to his participation at AFCON with Morocco.

And according to a report from talkSPORT, Wolves defender Max Kilman is firmly on Moyes’s radar this month – a player who West Ham were linked with a £30 million move for in the summer.

The towering 26-year-old centre-back, who was born in Chelsea, has been fantastic for Gary O’Neill’s side this season, and he is the club captain at Molineux.

However, it seems as though he could be set for a January exit from the Black Country club…

West Ham want to sign Wolves star in the January window

talkSPORT reckon that Max Kilman is one of the Hammers’ prime transfer targets this winter.

What a signing the 26-year-old would be for us. The left-footed defender would be a great long-term replacement for Angelo Ogbonna and a more physically robust option for us than the injury prone Kurt Zouma.

In 37 Premier League appearances last season, Kilman averaged one tackle, 4.5 clearances and 2.4 successful aerial duels per game, and he has improved in all of those categories in 20 league outings this season (Who Scored).

Jose Sa once described his 26-year-old teammate as ‘amazing’. Standing at 6ft 4in tall, he is really strong in the air, and is a terrific leader at the back for Wolves.

In my view, £30 million for Max Kilman would represent terrific value for money for West Ham in the January.

And if David Moyes brings the central defender to the London Stadium from Molineux this winter, we’ll be in great shape heading into the second half of the season.
