West Ham midfielder Mohamadou Kante is subject to interest from several English clubs ahead of the January transfer window.

According to Foot Mercato journalist Dahbia Hattabi, a number of clubs in England have initiated contact with the Hammers for Kante.
The Frenchman moved to the London Stadium from Paris FC last summer on a five-year contract.
After spending last season on loan at Paris FC, Kante has been promoted to the first team under Nuno this term.
He made his West Ham debut in the 1-1 draw against Manchester United at the start of December and has been a regular in the matchday squad since then.
The Irons have had to turn down multiple offers for the 20-year-old as he’s not only a squad player but is viewed as a future first-team regular.

A lot of Kante’s game time hinges not only on how he does in training and develops as a player but also on how competent the first-team midfielders are.
Freddie Potts got his chance to become a regular as James Ward-Prowse fell out of favour and Guido Rodriguez failed to put in consistent performances.
As Kante is training with the seniors regularly, Nuno has a chance to look at his development and constantly give him minutes off the bench as he sees fit.
The Frenchman will come on against tired legs, so he will have an easier adaptation than if he were thrown into the starting eleven due to an injury crisis.
It is now on the 20-year-old to prove why he deserves more game time and he must take all the assistance behind the scenes to mature into a regular.
