Albion Rrahmani is among the names linked as West Ham are ramping up their search for a new striker in January.

Callum Wilson is currently the best number nine at the club, but Nuno Espirito Santo has not started the English forward in each of the Hammers’ last three games.

West Ham are prioritising a new striker in the coming weeks as they currently appear destined for relegation from the Premier League.

Which position do West Ham need to strengthen the most and why? Who is your dream January signing?

According to ExWHUEmployee, the Hammers are looking to bring Rrahmani to the London Stadium this winter.

The Kosovo international has scored 12 goals in 32 games in all competitions this season and has popped onto Nuno’s radar.

The 25-year-old is currently plying his trade at Sparta Prague, joining them last summer from Rapid Bucuresti.

It has been claimed that West Ham admire Rrahmani but are yet to make a move for him.

Who is Albion Rrahmani?

Rrahmani is a tall, towering striker who excels in winning aerial duels and bullying centre-backs in order to create openings for himself and his teammates.

Apart from that, he is also an efficient goal scorer and is on par with his xG for this season.

Despite his height, the 25-year-old is very good in transition and closing opposition defenders down – something that Hammers’ hierarchy will consider.

Nuno does like his players to work hard off the ball and he will be getting that if the club succeed in bringing the Kosovo international to the London Stadium.

What type of striker is Nuno looking for in January?

The Portuguese primarily wants a striker capable of stretching opposition defences and combining with the likes of Jarrod Bowen and Crysencio Summerville in the final third.

Given how much West Ham rely on set pieces, someone with an aerial threat and the ability to regularly find the back of the net is undoubtedly an added boost.

While Graham Potter likes an all-round striker who often dropped deep to set up chances for other players, Nuno prioritises someone who can be a threat inside the penalty area and capitalise on half-chances in order to secure vital points for the team.
