West Ham suffered a 3-0 defeat against Manchester City, further worsening their chances of Premier League survival.
Erling Haaland scored a brace against West Ham, leaving Nuno Espirito Santo’s side five points away from safety.
Should Nottingham Forest beat Fulham on Monday night, the Hammers will be six points away from Leeds United, who will then be in 17th place.
This is shocking! 😰 Relegation is going to be dire for West Ham…

Opta have shared West Ham relegation percentage
Opta’s Supercomputer crunched the numbers after Saturday’s results, with Leeds United beating Crystal Palace 4-1, and West Ham losing at the Etihad Stadium.
They have predicted the final league position of every team and also shared the percentage chance of each side’s relegation.
According to their numbers, the Hammers have been given a 60.84 per cent chance of getting relegated from the Premier League.
West Ham are predicted to end up with 36 points and finish in 18th place in the table, above Burnley and Wolves.
Leeds are predicted to finish in 17th, but the difference between the two sides is shown to be five points – a staggering gap at that end of the table.
How do YOU feel now about Nuno’s West Ham reign? 💡
Does he have a point or is he simply deluding himself?
Can Nuno Espirito Santo save West Ham from relegation?
Questions will be asked of Nuno if the Hammers are still in the relegation zone at the end of January.
They have some winnable games ahead, including Fulham, Wolves and Nottingham Forest, and a loss in any of them is going to compound the pressure on the Portuguese.
While there has been some improvement since he took over from Graham Potter, if West Ham get relegated, then that improvement does not count for much.

Hopefully, quality new signings are made in the January transfer window and they have an immediate impact.
A new striker and defender are needed, especially with Niclas Fullkrug leaving West Ham in the winter.
If by February or March, the Irons are still four or five points away from safety, the board may consider a short-term appointment to galvanise the side and give the players the motivation needed to get immediate results.
The cost of relegation is dire and it’s the last thing anyone at the club would want.
