Max Kilman was handed a start by Nuno Espirito Santo as West Ham United suffered a 3-0 defeat against Manchester City in the Premier League.
Kilman played the full 90 minutes for West Ham in a game which saw Erling Haaland score a brace for Pep Guardiola’s side.
He started in a back four alongside Jean-Clair Todibo, with Konstantinos Mavropanos dropped to the bench.
Three and easy for Man City 🙁

Kilman lets Nuno Espirito Santo down yet again vs Manchester City
While Mavropanos did come on in the second half, it was for Crysencio Summerville and not Kilman, who was clearly having another bad outing for West Ham.
The English defender lost both of his tackles and made zero interceptions all game, allowing the City attackers the licence to wreak havoc in the final third.
He also mustered a long pass accuracy of just 33 per cent, according to Sofascore, and lost possession on six occasions.
Apart from the stats, his decision-making in play is what would have frustrated Nuno and the rest of the Hammers faithful.
His positioning was off all game and he struggled to deal with the intense City press, opting to clear his lines rather than patiently building out from the back.
The Wolves fans WARNED us about Max Kilman… 🐺
Who is the worst pound-for-pound signing in West Ham's history? He's surely up there…
Kilman may not start again for West Ham as January transfer window nears
For a £40million signing, Kilman surely has not lived up to the billing at the London Stadium.
There were always doubts about him being worth the money when he joined from Wolves, but his performances have proven that the Hammers overpaid for him.
With West Ham hot on Charlie Cresswell’s heels in the winter, his arrival could open the door for Kilman to leave.

The 28-year-old’s contract runs until the summer of 2031, so the Hammers could command a decent fee from his sale.
He would not want to be the fourth-choice centre-back at the club, which could see him angling for an exit.
Due to uncertainties over his future and his poor run of form, there is a very good chance that Nuno does not start him again.
Mavropanos and Todibo undoubtedly make a better pair and if the Portuguese wants to deploy a back three, he could start Igor Julio.
