West Ham United player sales 2023: 2016 Slaven Bilic signing could be sold in the January transfer window.

Claret and Hugh reckon that Hammers boss David Moyes is trying to get rid of underperforming left-back Arthur Masuaku this winter.

Slaven Bilic brought the 29-year-old to the London Stadium from Olympiacos in the summer of 2016 for around £6 million (Sky Sports).

He has failed to impress with West Ham on a consistent basis though, and joined Besiktas on loan in the summer.

Things haven’t gone that well for him there either, with Besiktas manager Senol Gunes allegedly completely unsure on him.

In spite of that, Moyes is clearly still very keen to get rid of Arthur on a permanent basis in January…

West Ham player sales 2023 – Masuaku faces an exit

The Democratic Republic of Congo international is the Hammers’ fifth long serving current player, behind Aaron Cresswell, Angelo Ogbonna, Manuel Lanzini and Michail Antonio.

His six-and-a-half year spell at the London Stadium could very well be coming to an end now though.

Claret and Hugh claim that Moyes is keen to move Masuaku on in January.

Besiktas do have an option to sign the West Ham owned left-back in the summer for around £2 million (FotoMac).

Moyes obviously wants to expedite that process though.

And moving on the former Olympiacos man will 100% be the right call from the Scot, even if we have to release him for nothing.

The 29-year-old is clearly not good enough to be playing at the very highest level – certainly not in the Premier League.

Hopefully Besiktas take up their option to sign the Hammers man in January.

There will undoubtedly be plenty of West Ham United player sales 2023 over the course of the next 12 months or so and in my opinion, Arthur Masuaku will most certainly be one of them.
