West Ham United have been linked with a move for Coventry City striker Haji Wright ahead of the January transfer window.
Nuno Espirito Santo wants a reliable number nine to lead the line for the rest of the season and potentially the next few years at the London Stadium.
While Callum Wilson, who joined on a free transfer, has been their best option for goals this term, he is 33 and does not have the best fitness record.
Thus, it is imperative that the Hammers begin work to bring in a new striker in the coming weeks.

West Ham wish to explore Haji Wright deal before going ahead with transfer
According to the West Ham Way, a number of options are being considered by the Irons ahead of the January transfer window.
Along with Wright, Norwich’s Josh Sargent is also on West Ham’s radar, but the club are yet to zero in on a primary target.
They are exploring the two strikers’ deals further before making a decision on whom to go ahead with, if any.
Along with them, Santiago Gimenez is also admired by the hierarchy, and AC Milan appear to be ready to offload him in January.
West Ham will have to pay over £30million if they are to sign the Mexico international, who scored 22 goals in all competitions last season.

What can Haji Wright bring to the table for West Ham?
Wright, a United States international, has been in good goal-scoring form this season for Coventry.
The 27-year-old has found the back of the net on eight occasions in the league and also scored once in the cup this term.
He is arguably in his prime, but his fitness record may be of some concern to the Hammers.
Wright missed 30 games for club and country in this calendar year due to ankle and Achilles tendon injuries.
If the Hammers’ medical staff believe that he has overcome his fitness issues and give the green signal, then the club will be signing a towering 6ft 3in striker who is also quite pacey and skilful.
Wright is known to be extremely mobile and is capable of closing opponents down and constantly keeping defenders on their toes.
He will undoubtedly fit seamlessly into Nuno’s system, but there are still doubts about whether or not he is ready for Premier League football.
