West Ham appear to have taken steps towards signing Norwich City striker Josh Sargent in the January transfer window.
The Hammers have scored 15 goals in 12 Premier League games this season and while that is a decent tally, they still want to add to their firepower in the coming weeks.
Callum Wilson has hit some good form recently, scoring twice as West Ham United played out a 2-2 draw against Bournemouth over the weekend.

West Ham United scout Josh Sargent
According to Claret & Hugh, the Hammers have already taken initial steps towards signing Sargent in January.
The Irons have scouted the United States international who has found the back of the net on five occasions in 16 league games this season.
The 25-year-old has three more years left on his deal at Carrow Road as his current contract expires at the end of June in 2028.
West Ham are desperate to sign a striker in January, to replace the outgoing Niclas Fullkrug, but do not have the riches to bring in a marquee name.
This is why they are being compelled to turn to the second tier and bring a striker up to the Premier League.

Can Sargent help West Ham survive relegation?
It’s evident that Nuno wants a striker who will give the Hammers the best chance of avoiding the drop this season.
While Wilson has done well recently, he is already 33 and does not have the best fitness record.
Any striker who joins will not only need to be a reliable goal scorer but also stay injury-free and lead the line with aplomb for West Ham.
Sargent, despite his strengths, does not necessarily fit the bill for the Irons and this is a signing that could prove to be costly.
He’s not the kind of striker who can carry a team’s attack on his shoulders and that is precisely the striker they need.
It’s unlikely that he gives them a better chance of avoiding the drop and if they are bringing him in, they might as well continue with Wilson, as he has years of Premier League experience and is proven in the top flight.
