West Ham are considering a move for AC Milan striker Santiago Gimenez in the January transfer window and have learnt how much it will cost to prise him away.
While the Hammers have primarily struggled to keep goals out rather than scoring them this season, Nuno Espirito Santo is interested in bringing in a new forward in the coming weeks.
Given Niclas Fullkrug’s uncertain future, West Ham are keen on Gimenez, amid his struggles at Milan this term.

AC Milan want at least £30m for Santiago Gimenez
Hammers News has learned that AC Milan are demanding a fee in the region of £30million to part ways with Gimenez in January.
Despite his underwhelming campaign for the Serie A side, they understand that he’s still got his best years ahead of him as he’s only 24.
Last season, he bagged 22 goals in all competitions for Milan, but this time around, he hasn’t scored a single goal in nine league appearances and has just one in all competitions.
Ahead of the 2026 World Cup, Gimenez wants to be scoring regularly and Hammers News understands that he will consider leaving for the right club.
West Ham United are most certainly targeting a new centre forward in the coming weeks and the Mexico international is one among several names being considered.

Can West Ham afford Gimenez?
While £30million is arguably pretty reasonable these days for a striker of Gimenez’s calibre, it remains to be seen how the Hammers can fund it.
In the summer, when they needed a new striker, they turned to Callum Wilson to sign him on a free transfer, rather than shelling out big money.
While Fullkrug’s sale and potentially James Ward-Prowse’s exit may bring in some money, the board and Nuno may have to ask the owners to fund the difference.
The Milan striker would undoubtedly strengthen this Hammers side, so there’s a good chance that the manager pushes to bring him to the club.
The financial toll of relegation would be far more than the few million it would take to bring the former Feyenoord striker to the London Stadium.
