Hammers boss David Moyes needs to bolster his centre-forward department at the London Stadium this summer.

That much is clear and obvious to see.

The East London outfit have already been linked with moves to sign numerous different strikers since January.

West Ham transfer news: Martin Braithwaite an option?

Barcelona are prepared to sell the 48-capped Denmark international this summer according to a report from 90 Min.

And he could end up joining the Hammers (90 Min).

Let’s be honest here. David Moyes could and should be aiming a whole lot higher than Martin Braithwaite.

The 29-year-old is a journeyman striker. He’s average at best. And he has never really proven that he has top class quality anywhere he’s been.

AS claims that the Barcelona ace is now valued at just £6 million.

Perhaps if West Ham signed two top class strikers and then brought Braithwaite to the club, it wouldn’t be the worst addition in the world.

We just can’t get past his extremely average career record of 93 goals in 401 games (Transfermarkt).

He really isn’t a clinical striker. Hard working sure, but he offers little else.

As mentioned earlier, the Hammers could do a lot better than Braithwaite.

This is one West Ham should avoid.
