West Ham could sign Junior Firpo this summer with Barcelona in desperate need to sell the left-back in order to balance their books, according to ESPN.

Hammers boss David Moyes will surely be on the look-out for a new left-back this summer.
Aaron Cresswell was superb this season and he improved greatly. He will be 32 next year, however, and he certainly doesn’t possess the physical attributes that he once did.
Meanwhile, Arthur Masuaku is better suited as a left wing-back.
Barcelona ace Firpo would be a real upgrade on both players.
West Ham handed Junior Firpo boost
Mundo Deportivo reckon that the Hammers have already made an enquiry for the Barcelona left-back.
And now ESPN claims that Barca have placed the 24-year-old on the transfer list.
The Catalan giants are in real financial trouble and are allegedly desperate to sell the former Real Betis ace.
And what a signing he would be for the East London outfit.
He has been described as an outstanding player who excels in 1v1’s, both from an attacking and a defensive perspective (Total Football Analysis).
The Spaniard can operate with equal efficiency as both a left-back and a left wing-back.
According to Sport, Firpo could be picked up for around £18 million this summer. We think that West Ham could sign him for even less than that amount, however, considering Barcelona’s financial plight.
This is just one that we need to get done either way. Firpo would be a superb addition for Moyes at the London Stadium.
