Hammers boss David Moyes desperately needs to bolster his central midfield ranks at the London Stadium.

And the 23-year-old Spartak Moscow ace seems to be the absolutely ideal man for the job.

The Sunday Mirror (May 23rd, page 74) claimed two days ago that West Ham are eyeing a summer swoop for £14 million-rated Alex Kral.

And now Sky Sports claims that the East London outfit have actually taken to step of contacting the Czech Republic international midfielder’s agent.

West Ham signing Alex Kral is a no-brainer

The 23-year-old has been in superb form for Spartak Moscow this season.

In 29 league outings, the 22-year-old has registered five assists and has averaged 1.5 tackles, 1.8 interceptions, 0.8 clearances and 0.8 dribbles per game. During those appearances, he has made 56 passes per match on average with a completion rate of 81% (Who Scored).

Kral began his career as a defender but he has evolved into a midfielder. He is apt at playing the holding role but he can perform central midfield box-to-box duties with aplomb as well.

The Czech ace would be worth every penny of the reported £14 million fee needed to prise him away from Spartak Moscow.

He has real talent and could very well go on to become a true star of the game.

Let’s hope we manage to get this deal done with the minimum of fuss. Kral would be an absolutely superb signing for West Ham.
