Tottenham and Newcastle have reportedly been offered West Ham attacker target Memphis Depay in the January transfer window.
That’s according to The Daily Star (print edition January 16th), who claim that Tottenham and Newcastle now have a relatively free run at signing the Barcelona forward.

The Scot now faces an almost impossible task though, with the 86-capped Netherlands international being hawked out to Tottenham and Newcastle.
That is a real shame for the Hammers boss because he desperately needs to bolster his attacking ranks this month…
Attacker offered to Tottenham and Newcastle
The Daily Star reckon that Spurs and the Toon are in pole position to sign the 28-year-old attacker before the end of the January transfer window.
I really feel like this could be one that got away for West Ham. He’d be absolutely perfect for us this month.
Depay bagged 13 goals and two assists in 38 games for Barca last season (Transfermarkt).
The Dutch ace is an enigmatic, precocious talent and on his day he is unplayable. Depay is incredibly strong as well and would be ideally suited to leading the line on his own for the Hammers.

The Barcelona attacker has been described as a player with ‘unreal skill’ by The Metro.
Sure, he has displayed some attitude problems in the past but a fresh start at a new club might just be exactly what he needs to help him rediscover his best form.
It seems as though that club won’t be West Ham though. Missing out on our transfer targets is now becoming a common, and very worrying, theme.
The Barcelona attacker has allegedly been offered to Tottenham and Newcastle, and it appears as though he’ll soon be plying his trade in either north London or on Tyneside.
