Sevilla are challenging West Ham for the signing of Nayef Aguerd but we have blown the Spanish side out the water financially.
That’s according to high-level club insiders Claret and Hugh who claim that the 26-year-old is set to move to the London Stadium, barring any significant late hitches.

Confusion reigned around the fee, however.
Then, L’Equipe claimed that Rennes have assured them that no agreement is in place to take the 26-year-old defender to the London Stadium.
This transfer really does seem to be dragging doesn’t it? And it seems as though Sevilla tried to hijack out move to sign Aguerd…
West Ham challenged for Aguerd signing
Claret and Hugh reckon that Sevilla made a late £13 million bid to sign the 26-year-old but the Hammers then raised their initial offer in order to win the race for his signature.
And it’s a good job we did. Aguerd will be a sensational signing for West Ham this summer.
The 26-year-old has been described as a brilliant defender by Get Football News France.
And he’s left-footed so is the ideal long-term replacement for Angelo Ogbonna.
In 31 Ligue 1 appearances for Rennes this season, Aguerd averaged one interception, one tackle and 4.1 clearances per game. He also won 3.1 aerial duels per match (Who Scored).
The Morocco international made 71.7 passes per game on average and recorded an impressive completion rate of 89% (Who Scored).
Aguerd possesses exceptional ball-playing ability as well and this would help increase our resistance to the press from the opposition.
Whether the fee for the centre-back is £13 million, £20 million or £30 million, it doesn’t really matter. We just have to get this one wrapped up as soon as possible.
West Ham signing Aguerd this summer will be a big statement.
