West Ham are in talks to sign Brazilian winger Vitor Roque from Athletico Paranaense in the January transfer window.

The offer from the Hammers is allegedly a loan deal with an obligation to buy him in the summer for around €20 million (£17 million), according to Brazilian journalist Vene Casagrande.

West Ham boss David Moyes is clearly keen to bolster his attacking ranks at the London Stadium this month.

The Scot has already brought in a centre-forward in the form of Danny Ings.

It seems as though Moyes is far from done with his recruitment though, with the addition of an attacking wide player apparently next up on his agenda…

West Ham in talks to sign Vitor Roque

The Hammers are currently very short in the right and left wing departments.

Maxwel Cornet having been out injured since October certainly hasn’t helped matters. And seems as though Moyes is keen to address that particular issue.

Although West Ham’s next signing might just be one made with one eye on the future, rather than for the here and now…

Brazilian journalist Vene Casagrande claims that the Hammers have lodged a loan with an obligation to buy offer for Athletico Paranaense attacker Vitor Roque:

At just 17, the young winger is a precocious talent.

He can play on either wing or as a centre-forward, and he has already racked up a respectable 13 goals and four assists in 52 senior appearances (Transfermarkt).

As you would imagine, the Brazilian possesses exceptional technical ability. He has incredible pace and strength for someone so young and is a really hard worker off the ball.

It seems as though Vitor Roque has absolutely everything needed to succeed in the Premier League with West Ham.

Let’s just hope that we manage to bring him to the London Stadium in the January transfer window.
