West Ham are in pole position to sign Montpellier striker Gaetan Laborde this summer according to a report from L’Equipe (Print edition May 28th, page 8).

The Hammers have been chasing the 27-year-old striker since January (L’Equipe).
David Moyes will be very keen to strengthen his centre-forward department at the London Stadium before the start of next season.
West Ham have been linked with at least 30 different strikers since the January transfer window.

And it seems as though Laborde is back on the Hammers’ radar.
The Montpellier hitman is wanted by West Ham and Zenit Saint Petersburg according to L’Equipe (Print edition May 28th, page 8) and could be available for around €12.5 million (£10.8 million) this summer.
West Ham in pole position to sign Gaetan Laborde
L’Equipe reckon that the East London outfit are leading the race for the Frenchman’s signature.

Laborde was in fine form for Montpellier this season, racking up 18 goals and nine assists in 43 games (Transfermarkt).
He is an incredibly hard-working striker and is extremely strong. The Frenchman seems to have a lot of the attributes Moyes looks for in a centre-forward.
£10.8 million seems like excellent value for Laborde.
The West Ham fans will probably be expecting a more high profile arrival at the London Stadium this summer, however.
