William Saliba could leave Arsenal this summer and West Ham should consider a move to sign the centre-back.

Gunners boss Mikel Arteta is keen to sell the 20-year-old this summer and could demand around €30 million (£25 million) for the centre-back, according to Kicker.

Hammers manager David Moyes should not hesitate to bring Saliba to the London Stadium from the Emirates.

West Ham need to bolster their central defensive department this summer.

Fabian Balbuena will be leaving the London Stadium at the end of next month.

The Hammers do have plenty of talented young central defenders coming through the ranks including the likes of Aji Alese, Jamal Baptiste and Frederik Alves.

It could be argued that none of those players are ready for regular first-team action next season, however.

William Saliba could leave Arsenal – good signing for West Ham?

The Frenchman may be slightly wet behind the ears, but he would be an excellent option for the Hammers.

The 20-year-old spent the second half of this season just gone on loan with Nice and really impressed with the Ligue 1 outfit.

In 20 league outings for Nice, Saliba averaged 0.8 tackles, 1.3 interceptions and four clearances per game. He also won 1.9 aerial duals per match and recorded an incredibly impressive pass completion rate of 91.3% from 73.2 passes per match on average (Who Scored).

The Arsenal ace stands at 6ft 4in tall and is physically imposing and aerially dominant. He is also fantastic with the ball at his feet.

£25 million may well be too much money for West Ham to spend on a centre-back this summer.

And Bayer Leverkusen want Saliba as well according to Kicker. So it won’t be easy to bring the Frenchman to the London Stadium from Arsenal.

Perhaps if we could pick the Gunners ace up for closer to £20 million it would be a deal worth pursing.

We just think that the 20-year-old centre-back could be the next big thing. And if Arsenal have given up on him, we should offer him the chance to stay in London and fulfil his potential.
