West Ham are ready to submit an offer worth €22 million (£19 million) for West Brom ace Matheus Pereira according to football journalist Pedro Almeida.
Hammers boss David Moyes made his first senior signing this summer yesterday, bringing Alphonse Areola from Paris Saint-Germain to the London Stadium on a season-long loan.
And we could well be set to follow that up with another signing.
West Brom play-maker Matheus Pereira has been on West Ham’s radar for quite some time now (The Express).
The Brazilian star would be an exceptional addition to David Moyes’ ranks.
And it seems as though the Hammers could be close to bringing Pereira to East London.
West Ham to make Matheus Pereira bid
Pedro Almeida reckons the Hammers are imminently set to submit an offer worth around £19 million for the 25-year-old Baggies star:
That would be truly outstanding value for West Ham.
Pereira is an exceptional footballer and it could be argued that he would actually be a better option than Jesse Lingard for the Hammers.
He racked up 11 goals and six assists in just 33 Premier League games for West Brom last season.
The South American possesses a wicked delivery from set-pieces. So if we mange to sign him, he will make us even more of a threat from corners and free-kicks.

£19 million would be sensational business for West Ham. Let’s hope that the Baggies are prepared to accept that kind of fee for Pereira.
We think we may need to increase that bid by a few million, however.
