West Ham are allegedly ramping up our interest in Benfica striker Darwin Nunez ahead of the summer transfer window.
That’s according to a report from A Bola, covered via Sport Witness.

It is suggested that the Hammers are following the 22-year-old hitman ‘more insistently’.
West Ham manager David Moyes will be desperate to add a top-class, proven goalscorer to his ranks at the London Stadium this summer.
Michail Antonio is currently our only option through the middle and that quite clearly isn’t acceptable for a club with supposed ambitions of challenging for honours both domestically and on the continent.

It appears as though West Ham boss Moyes is ready to change all of that though and has a potential blockbuster summer transfer up his sleeve…
West Ham ramp up interest in Darwin Nunez ahead of potential summer transfer
A Bola, covered via Sport Witness, claim that the Hammers are intensifying our interest in a deal to sign the 22-year-old Benfica striker ahead of the summer transfer window.
We believe that Nunez would be an unbelievable signing for West Ham. Competition for his signature will be rife, however.
If we show some real ambition though, there is no reason why we can’t win the race for the talented South American’s services.
Nunez’s playing style is quintessentially South American. He is a tenacious presser, plays with real physicality and has real technical ability. The 22-year-old seems to be ideally suited for the Premier League what with its intense and robust nature.

Nunez has bagged 26 goals in 33 games for Benfica this season (Transfermarkt).
He’s fast, great in the air and has absolutely everything that West Ham need in a striker.
There is one big problem that West Ham may face if we want to sign Nunez in the summer transfer window though…
He could cost around £60 million this summer according to a report from the Telegraph.
Whilst that seems like a lot of money, it is the kind of fee that West Ham will need to be paying for a striker this summer, if we truly want to make the step up to the next level.
We would absolutely love it if Darwin Nunez rocked up at the London Stadium in the summer transfer window.
