West Ham could go back in for Juventus left-back Luca Pellegrini in January according to a report from Calcio Mercato.
The 22-year-old was on the Hammers’ radar throughout there summer transfer window (Tuttosport).
Pellegrini joined Juventus from Roma in 2019 for around £19 million (SI Soccer). He made an immediate impression in Turin but hasn’t been a regular starter this term.
He rejected a move to West Ham in the summer because he wanted to stay and fight for his place at Juve (Bianconero).
It seems as though Moyes may have his eye on the young Italian yet again, however.
West Ham plan second raid on Juventus for Luca Pellegrini in January
The 22-year-old is back on the Hammers’ radar after a nightmarish start to the season. according to Calcio Mercato.
Pellegrini has played just 58 minutes of football for Juventus this season and has spent most of his time on the bench.
A move away from Juve is surely needed if he is to achieve regular first-team action.
And we think Pellegrini would be a very smart addition for West Ham.
The Italian would provide stiff competition and strong cover for Aaron Cresswell at the London Stadium and has the ability to go on and become the 31-year-old’s eventual successor.
Pellegrini has bags of pace, is an able defender and offers a lot going forward as well.
It seems as though he may get another chance to join West Ham. Whether he chooses to move away from Turin this time or not remains to be seen, however.
