West Ham United fans look set to be left disappointed on transfer deadline day.
West Ham fans call on Moyes to drop star for Lingard against Aston Villa
In fact many have been venting their fury at the very real prospect West Ham will not be signing a striker before the 11pm deadline.
Speaking after the defeat to Liverpool, Hammers boss David Moyes admitted he was unlikely to get a new forward (Evening Standard).
And West Ham fans are angry with co-owners David Sullivan and David Gold for failing to get one of the strikers Moyes wanted after selling Sebastien Haller to Ajax for £20million.

West Ham fans mocked by some sections of football media over GSB criticism
Supporters have been antagonised by some sections of the football media of late. The likes of talkSPORT have mocked West Ham fans for their continued criticism and campaigning against Sullivan, Gold and Karren Brady.
The suggestion has been that West Ham fans should be happy with their lot given Moyes’s side’s excellent performances and league position.
But leaving Moyes with just one senior striker – the only club in the Premier League in such a situation – is a timely example of the way the club is so often run without a coherent plan.
Former West Ham stars Danny Gabbidon and Trevor Sinclair have warned the owners they must sign a striker – read full story here.

Fans will vent anger if striker does not arrive to push Hammers on amid best season for 35 years
And Hammers supporters will undoubtedly make their feelings clear in the coming weeks.
Particularly if the injury-prone Michail Antonio suffers another setback.
But as the deadline approaches, Sullivan and Gold are on course to have another statistic to arm their media cronies with.
That’s because West Ham are on course to have made the most expensive signing of the January transfer window.
At the time of writing only five Premier League clubs have made permanent signings this month.

But owners will have ammo for media pals with West Ham set to end window with most expensive signing
And when West Ham made Said Benrahma’s loan deal permanent six months early last week, it put the Hammers at the top of the tree in terms of official spending.
The deal is listed as £25million. And that puts West Ham top of the spending chart with just hours of a very quiet window remaining.
West Ham fans of course know the Benrahma money was already set aside. The sales of the likes of Grady Diangana, Jordan Hugill and Albian Ajeti saw to that.
And West Ham now have £20million from the sale of Haller to spend.
But fans of other clubs and GSB’s media pals will undoubtedly use it as a stick to beat West Ham fans with.
Especially if they voice their discontent over the lack of a striker signing.
