West Ham reportedly want to sign Shakhtar Donetsk defender Mykola Matviyenko in the January transfer window.
That’s according to a report from 90 Min who claim that West Ham have been offered the chance to sign the 26-year-old centre-back for €25 million (£22 million) in the January transfer window.
The East London outfit have actually been linked with a move to sign the Shakhtar ace before.

However, Brighton are currently in talks to sign the 54-capped Ukraine international. It is stated that the Seagulls are reluctant to pay more than £13 million for Matviyenko though.
So the door is still wide open for Hammers boss David Moyes, if he really does want to bring him to the London Stadium.
And the Scot should not be thinking twice about that…
West Ham offered Mykola Matviyenko
90 Min reckon that the Shakhtar Donetsk defender has been offered to numerous different Premier League clubs – West Ham being one of them.
I think that the Ukrainian ace would be a really useful addition for West Ham.
Standing at 5ft 11in, Matviyenko isn’t the tallest of centre-backs. The left-footed ace is very comfortable with the ball at his feet though. He can play at left-back as well as centre-back too!

Matviyenko is an exceptional passer of the football. In six Champions League appearances for Shakhtar this season, the defender averaged 73.8 passes per game and recorded an incredibly impressive completion rate of 88.7 % (Who Scored).
I believe that the Mykola Matviyenko would be superb at West Ham alongside the likes of Nayef Aguerd, and Kurt Zouma when he returns from injury.
£22 million for the Ukrainian defender seems like an unbelievably good deal as well. What are you waiting for Moysie?
