It’s no surprise because Hammers boss David Moyes desperately needs to add more pace to his attacking options at the London Stadium.
And now it seems as though the Scot is ready to ramp up his interest in Doku…
West Ham make verbal offer for Jeremy Doku
Foot Mercato reckon that the Hammers have communicated a verbal offer for the Rennes attacker.
It is said that he is a priority target for Moyes this summer, and West Ham are now pushing really hard to sign him.

Rennes want around £43 million for Doku according to Foot Mercato. That might sound like a lot of money but it could end up being exceptional business for the Hammers. That’s how good the Belgian is.
The 21-year-old bagged seven goals and four assists in 35 games for Rennes last season (Transfermarkt) – a remarkable tally for someone so young and inexperienced.
He is absolutely rapid – Kylian Mbappe was once impressed by his speed (Football Ghana), and he seems to have all of the attributes needed to succeed in the Premier League.
The Belgian can play on either wing and would add so much to our play inside the final third.
Jeremy Doku is exactly the kind of player we need at West Ham, with his blistering pace and direct playing style. If we sign him for £43 million, I’ll be over the moon.
