Hammers boss David Moyes definitely needs to sign a top-class striker this summer, with Michail Antonio having regressed.
The 33-year-old could be heading for an exit from the London Stadium as well. And it seems like Moyes is eyeing a move for Balogun to replace Antonio…
West Ham make direct request to Arsenal about Folarin Balogun
talkSPORT reckon that the Hammers have made a direct request to the Gunners to be kept informed about the talented striker’s situation in the summer transfer window.
I think he would be a sensational addition for us this summer, if Arsenal are prepared to sell him for a reasonable fee of course.

The 22-year-old bagged 21 goals in 37 Ligue 1 games for Reims last season (Transfermarkt). He is a brilliant finisher, has frightening pace and possesses incredible movement.
In my opinion, Balogun is the ideal long-term replacement for Michail Antonio at West Ham. The American is on another level to the Jamaica international when it comes to finishing and technical ability.
However, Arsenal’s supposed £50 million demands for the USMNT forward (Goal) will undoubtedly represent a very big problem for us.
It will be interesting to keep a very close eye on this one to see how it develops. If West Ham can pick up Folarin Balogun for around £30-35 million this summer, I think it would be a great deal for us.
