West Ham United are seemingly still very active in the summer transfer window.
Julen Lopetegui has already made eight new signings for West Ham this summer, and recently admitted that he’s desperately chasing more additions.
The weakest part of our squad before Lopetegui took over was definitely the central defensive department.
However, the Hammers head coach has addressed that by bringing Max Kilman and Jean-Clair Todibo to the London Stadium.
Lopetegui’s main priority now is said to be moving on some of the deadwood before the transfer window slams shut.
However, that doesn’t mean that there won’t be any new arrivals at West Ham, and in fact, Lopetegui seems to still be very active indeed.
West Ham make bid for Inter Milan star Yann Bisseck
So the German is on the Hammers’ radar it seems.
According to a report from Calcio Mercato, West Ham have had a £25.5 million bid for Yann Bisseck rejected.
Inter Milan apparently view the 23-year-old centre-back as an important part of their future.
Football journalist Eduardo Hagn once described the German ace as an ‘incredible talent’, and he’s bang on the money.
Bisseck has absolutely everything needed to become a world-class player at the highest level, and his physical attributes make him ideally suited to the robust nature of Premier League football.
I would absolutely love him at West Ham, so it’s a real shame that our bid was rejected by Inter. Hopefully the Hammers owners will come back in with a new offer.
Standing at 6ft 5in tall, the 23-year-old cuts an imposing figure, and he is incredibly athletic.
A true powerhouse in every sense, Bisseck really does have it all.
He made 19 appearances for Inter in all competitions last season, and really impressed for the Serie A champions.
Yann Bisseck possesses pace and power in abundance, and he’d be a huge upgrade on West Ham duo Kurt Zouma and Nayef Aguerd at the London Stadium.
Whether the Hammers are able to move on the Frenchman and the Moroccan before the transfer window closes remains to be seen.
However, it may well be a moot point anyway, with Inter Milan said to be keen to keep hold of the super talented German.
