West Ham have been linked with a move to sign Juventus midfielder Aaron Ramsey on a free transfer in January according to a report from The Sun.

The Hammers were heavily linked with a move to bring the 67-capped Wales international to the London Stadium throughout the summer (Calcio Mercato).

Central midfield was an area where David Moyes desperately needed to bolster during the summer.

The Scot ended up signing Alex Kral instead. And the young Czech ace already looks like he’ll fit right in at West Ham.

And for that reason, we think that the rumours about the Hammers making a move to sign Aaron Ramsey are quite simply not true.

They make no sense whatsoever…even if he is available for nothing!

West Ham linked with Aaron Ramsey

Sure, the Juventus midfielder was a very good player in his day.

Those days are long gone now, however. At 30, he is already well past his best. The Welshman has suffered serious injury problems over the past few years as well.

Since the start of the 2018/19 season, Ramsey has missed 271 days of action (Transfermarkt).

Moyes has made it very clear that he wants young, fit, physically robust and hungry young players at West Ham.

Ramsey clearly doesn’t fit into this category.

West Ham quite simply don’t need to sign the former Arsenal midfielder. We have Declan Rice, Tomas Soucek and Alex Kral. Was also have Mark Noble up until the end of the season and Conor Coventry set to return in the summer.

These reports linking us with Aaron Ramsey really are beginning to get tedious now.

Why sign Ramsey when we have this man?:

Let’s hope Ramsey leaves Juventus in January and joins another club apart from us…at least that will be one less player we are linked with next summer!
