The 24-year-old Hammers attacker has started this season in brilliant form.

Unfortunately the goals are yet to come but that aside, he has been absolutely superb.

Bowen just does not stop running. He possesses exceptional technique and does not give his opponents one single second of breathing space.

Bowen is a hugely popular figure at the London Stadium. The West Ham fans love him and Moyes clearly does as well.

David Moyes names the fittest player at West Ham

The Hammers manager’s philosophy is ‘if you don’t run, you don’t play’. So it is little wonder why he loves the former Hull City ace so much.

Moyes raved about Bowen when speaking to Football.London:

“Well if you asked me in pre-season who I thought looked the fittest and in the best condition, it would be him (Bowen). He came back a bit lighter than before and was in great nick. Jarrod has great energy, he has loads of it, he has bundles of it. We have been asking him to get a couple of goals and he has been a bit unlucky today with the deflection but ultimately we want him to get into goalscoring positions to get the goals, he got some last season and I think he can do better this year.”

Bowen certainly looks in peak physical condition.

And if he adds regular goals and assists to his game, it’s hard to see him not becoming a regular for England very soon.

He certainly has the fitness levels and work-rate to succeed under David Moyes. And the regular goals and assists will surely come. It’s only a matter of time.
