West Ham United are reportedly ready to go back in with a fresh bid for talented Lorient striker Terem Moffi.

That’s according to football journalist Ignazio Genuardi who claims that the Hammers are ‘hot’ on the trail of the 23-year-old hitman.

West Ham manager David Moyes has been linked with a move to bring Moffi to the London Stadium for a couple of weeks now.

Adding a top-class centre-forward to his ranks in the January transfer window will be the main priority for David Moyes.

Michail Antonio has regressed badly over the past year or so and Gianluca Scamacca is desperate for some proper competition.

And in my opinion, the Lorient striker would be perfect for West Ham…

It seems as though the Hammers are ready to go back in for the 23-year-old Nigerian forward.

Ignazio Genuardi reckons that West Ham are lining up a €30 million (£26 million) bid for Terem Moffi:

That would represent decent value for the Hammers in my view. If we sign him for that amount, he’ll become our seventh biggest signing of all-time, alongside Nikola Vlasic (Transfermarkt).

David Moyes clearly wants to sign the Nigerian – he possesses all of the attributes that the Scot usually looks for.

Moffi would take West Ham’s attacking play to a whole new level entirely.

He’s been on fire in Ligue 1 this season, with 12 goals in 18 games for Lorient to his name (Transfermarkt).

If West Ham do make a fresh bid for Moffi, let’s hope that it’s accepted this time.
