A West Ham United insider has made an exciting £100m transfer claim as David Moyes hones in on a trio of top targets.

All things considered the majority of West Ham fans would concur it has been a very promising transfer window so far.

But the general consensus is that the most important work is still to be done.

The jury is still very much out with a striker, attacking player, another central midfielder and a left-back said to be next on Moyes’ West Ham wish list.

West Ham fans expect owners David Sullivan, Daniel Kretinsky and David Gold to fully back their manager after the amazing progress the club has made over the last two and a half years.

They have done that to the tune of over £50m so far.

With another four players targeted it seems as though speculation at the start of the window that Moyes had a £120-150m transfer kitty will be accurate.

Now a West Ham insider has made an exciting £100m transfer claim as Moyes hones in on trio of targets.

Sean Whetstone of Claret and Hugh says the club will take summer spending past the £100m if Moyes can get deals for strikers Armando Broja or Gianluca Scamacca and giant midfielder Amadou Onana.

Broja is said to have been Moyes’ prime forward target this summer but there are doubts whether Chelsea will do business with West Ham for the Albanian.

Reports yesterday claimed West Ham have entered talks with Sassuolo for Scamacca (Football Italia).

And the likes of Sky Sports claim the Hammers are readying a third bid for Onana having seen the first two rejected by Lille.

“Up to £54.5m committed with add-ons for our first three West Ham signings,” Whetstone said on Twitter.

“And perhaps another £100m could be committed in payments if these three transfer targets come off.”

West Ham surely won’t be signing both Broja and Scamacca.

But after three windows of trying and failing to bring a new forward to West Ham, either would be a massive statement of intent.

With an attacking midfielder and left-back also needed, West Ham do look set to reach the reported £120-150m transfer spend mooted before the window opened.

That will be offset by some sales with the likes of Nikola Vlasic and Issa Diop looking likely to depart.
