West Ham United insiders Claret and Hugh claim that a deal to sign Lucas Paqueta should be wrapped up very shortly.
Paqueta was believed to be close to joining the Hammers over the weekend when Fabrizio Romano tweeted that the deal was ‘100%’ done.

There were concerns that the deal was quite simply taking too long to get done.
Hammers insiders have moved to allay those fears though…
West Ham close to Paqueta deal
Club insiders Claret and Hugh have claimed that the deal to bring the 25-year-old to the London Stadium should be done soon, barring any ‘late, unforeseen’ hitches.
Now, we believe that the deal to sign Paqueta is pretty much done.
And we do not envisage any late changes to that.
Having said all of that, it’s still hard not to worry why it’s taking forever to get over the line.

If West Ham fail to sign Paqueta from the position that we’re in currently, the owners will face a huge backlash from the fans. And rightly so.
There is absolutely no reason why we shouldn’t get a deal for the Brazilian over the line, even if another club comes in and tries to sign him.
Let’s hope for the official announcement soon. Because the longer that this one drags on, the more nervous the fans will become.
