West Ham are launching a new last gasp move to sign left-back target Layvin Kurzawa but Newcastle are a problem once again for David Moyes.

The Hammers are yet to do any business in a January transfer window with one day to go until the deadline.

Newcastle have been busy as they seemingly try to recruit the world and its wife to aid their battle for Premier League survival.

But it seems every player West Ham are linked to, Newcastle throw their names in the hat too.

In fact Moyes would be well advised to check over his shoulder every now and again to make sure Eddie Howe isn’t there behind him.

From Jesse Lingard to Hugo Ekitike, Duje Caleta Car and even West Ham’s own Issa Diop, Newcastle have been mentioned in the same sentence as the Hammers when it comes to transfer stories in this window.

West Ham in last gasp move for left-back target Layvin Kurzawa but Newcastle are a problem again

Well now it has happened again after a new report from France claimed West Ham and Newcastle are battling it out for longstanding reported Moyes target Kurzawa.

Foot Mercato and Get French Football News claim West Ham are launching a last gasp move for PSG outcast Kurzawa but Newcastle are a problem again for Moyes.

Foot Mercato report this afternoon that Newcastle and West Ham have shown interest in the last few hours for out-of-favour Paris Saint-Germain left-back Layvin Kurzawa,” GFFN report.

“The 29-year-old, who has made just the one appearance this season and looks all but set to leave – despite signing a four-year extension in 2020 – has been continually linked to moves this winter, having notably been in contact with Chelsea as well.

“Although the Blues eventually decided against bringing in the former Monaco man, Newcastle and West Ham have now emerged as potential destinations before Monday’s deadline.”

West Ham are overly reliant on Aaron Cresswell at left-back and Arthur Masuaku simply cannot be trusted as a defender in his absence.
