Youssef En-Nesyri reportedly does not want to join West Ham United from Sevilla in the January transfer window.

That’s according to Marca who claim that the 25-year-old striker is not overly keen to leave Sevilla this month, full stop.

David Ornstein broke the news yesterday that David Moyes wants to bring En-Nesyri to the London Stadium this winter.

Yourself En-Nesyri has actually been linked with West Ham since January 2021.

Back then, it was Ornstein once again who broke the Hammers’ interest in signing the Morocco international.

And it seems as though Moyes is on the Sevilla striker’s trail again. Having said that, the Hammers apparently will have our work cut out…

Youssef En-Nesyri blow for West Ham

The Morocco World Cup star actually doesn’t want to join the Hammers this month, and instead would prefer to remain with Sevilla according to Marca.

That will be a big blow for Moyes, because he clearly rates the striker highly.

En-Nesyri hasn’t been in great form over the past year, although he did score a hat-trick for Sevilla the other night.

I must say, I wasn’t impressed by the 25-year-old at all when we played Sevilla in the Europa League last season That was only two games though, and in general, he has been a big hit in La Liga.

The Moroccan is a hard-working forward who really stretches the opposition’s defence with his tireless running and he is an absolute animal in the air.

The Sevilla hitman would certainly provide stiff competition for Gianluca Scamacca at the London Stadium, and would be a huge upgrade on Michail Antonio.

Youssef En-Nesyri is clearly a key transfer target for David Moyes in the January transfer window. And the Scot has obviously identified his centre-forward department as an area in particular need of strengthening.

However, whether or not the Moroccan ends up moving to the London Stadium stadium this month remains to be seen.
