David Moyes’s desperate need for a new centre-forward has been well-documented this summer.
Michail Antonio is the Scot’s only current senior centre-forward option at the London Stadium.
West Ham have been linked with a plethora of strikers since Sebastien Haller left for Ajax back in January.

Southampton hitman Danny Ings is a name who has been linked with us persistently over the past couple of years (talkSPORT journalist/presenter Alex Crook and ExWHUemployee).
West Ham register Danny Ings interest
The Athletic claims that the Hammers have made the first move to sign the 28-year-old striker.
The former Liverpool and Burnley ace is a proven striker at the very highest level.
He has racked up 46 goals and 10 assists in 100 games for the Saints (Transfermarkt).
Ings has really struggled with his fitness over the past few years, however.

The 28-year-old has missed an incredible 665 days through injury since the start of the 2015/16 season (Transfermarkt).
It’s a shame because Ings is ideally suited to what David Moyes looks for in a striker.
He has great movement, is a very hard worker and is a lethal finisher.
With just one year remaining on his current deal with Southampton, West Ham might just be able to pick him up for a reasonable fee.

Whether signing Ings is worth the risk when taking his injury record into account, however, is highly debatable.
