West Ham have been handed a huge boost regarding our hopes of signing Manchester United right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
Football journalist Dean Jones has told Give Me Sport that Wan-Bissaka’s omission for Manchester United against Fulham at the weekend could be the final sign that he’ll be leaving Old Trafford in January.
Right-back is certainly a position at the London Stadium where David Moyes needs to strengthen in the summer.
Vlaimdir Coufal has regressed badly whilst Ben Johnson doesn’t seem to have made any kind of progress whatsoever. In fact, it could be argued that he has gone backwards.

Meanwhile, Thilo Kehrer has proven to be incredibly error prone over the past month or so and Harrison Ashby has been heavily linked with an exit from the London Stadium.
The lack of options at right-back will be a huge worry for Moyes, but the solution could be found in January at his former club Manchester United…
West Ham handed boost in pursuit of Manchester United ace Aaron Wan-Bissaka
It seems as though West Ham may have more luck this time around though.
Transfer guru Dean Jones has told Give Me Sport that Wan-Bissaka’s omission from the Manchester United squad at the weekend may well be the final nail in the coffin for his career at Old Trafford:
Wan-Bissaka was struggling to prove he had a future at the club even before the weekend, but when there was no sign of him at Fulham, it felt like the final sign we needed that he’ll be leaving in January. He’s played four minutes all season and the club will now have to accept that there will be a financial hit on accepting defeat over he won’t be living up to his £50m transfer.
Signing Wan-Bissaka would be an absolute no-brainer for West Ham, especially if we could pick him up for just £10 million.
Wan-Bissaka joined Manchester United three years ago from Crystal Palace for around £50 million (Independent).
The 24-year-old possesses blistering pace. And that recovery speed would enable us to push further up the pitch, which ties in perfectly with Moyes saying that he wants his team to become more of a possession-based side.
If you are to do that, you need real recovery pace at the back and AWB possesses that in abundance.

The Manchester United right-back is an exceptional defender and is one of the very best tacklers around.
Jamie Carragher once called Wan-Bissaka the best defender in the world in one-on-one situations (The Mirror). Meanwhile, The Athletic describe him as ‘explosive’.
We really think that David Moyes should make an attempt to bring Aaron Wan-Bissaka to West Ham in the January transfer window.
Selling AWB for £10 million would represent a massive loss for Manchester United, but if Erik ten Hag is so desperate to move him on from Old Trafford, it’s better than allowing his contract down and losing him for nothing in 2024.
And it seems as though West Ham have a great chance to solve a real problem position for what would be an unbelievable bargain fee in the January transfer window.
