Gianluca Scamacca is set to miss his second consecutive pre-season friendly with Sassuolo as West Ham try to thrash out a deal for the striker.

That’s according to a report from Football Italia who claim that Sassuolo are preparing for the Hammers transfer target’s exit this summer.

West Ham have been heavily linked with a move to sign Gianluca Scamacca over the past month or so and the club have allegedly forged close contacts with the 23-year-old’s representatives.

It has been suggested that the Italy international wants to join the Hammers after David Moyes made a £40 million bid for him (Alfredo Pedulla).

Gianluca Scamacca would be a sensational addition for West Ham, and we truly believe that he would totally transform us as a team.

It seems as though Moyes has a really good chance of bringing him to the London Stadium this summer…

Gianluca Scamacca to West Ham is on

Football Italia claims that Sassuolo have omitted the 23-year-old striker from their squad for the second consecutive pre-season friendly game.

This has been done as a precaution to avoid him getting an injury and subsequently scuppering a transfer move away.

West Ham are believed to be in pole position to sign Gianluca Scamacca after the other club in the race PSG signed Hugo Ekitike from Stade Reims (Alfredo Pedulla).

And after the Italian was excluded from Sassuolo’s second pre-season friendly in a row, the Hammers are surely closely in on his signature.

The Italy international would be a truly outstanding addition to David Moyes’s ranks at the London Stadium this summer.

The 23-year-old is an absolute unit. He stands at 6ft 5in tall but don’t let that fool you, he’s so much more than a bog-standard target man.

Sempre Inter recently described the towering striker as an ‘unbelievable’ player.

Scamacca possesses exceptional technique and has one of the most ferocious shots in the game at his disposal.

The 23-year-old bagged 16 goals in 36 Serie A appearances for Sassuolo this season (Transfermarkt). He really is a very good all-round striker.

The Italian should suit our playing style perfectly.

And if West Ham do end up signing Gianluca Scamacca, we’ll in fine shape heading into the new season.
