West Ham fans have one very big concern about a report linking Norwich City ace Todd Cantwell with a move to the London Stadium.
Claret and Hugh claimed on Saturday that the 23-year-old has emerged as a potential alternative signing to Jesse Lingard.
Signing the Manchester United man remains the priority for David Moyes, but if the Scot can’t get a deal for the 28-year-old done, Cantwell is allegedly on his hit-list.
The Norwich attacking midfielder is a very good player on his day.
He hasn’t played that many games for the Canaries, however. Despite being 23, he has only made 107 appearances for the East Anglian outfit.
Cantwell has endured numerous injury problems including hip and knee issues, a hamstring tear and an ankle sprain over the past 18 months.
West Ham fans concerned by Cantwell links
It seems as though the majority of Hammers fans would prefer Lingard to be signed rather than Cantwell.
The main worry seems to be that the Norwich ace struggles to stay fit.
Sure, he’s five years younger than Jesse but the Manchester United man is by far the safer bet.
We know that he can produce the goods in the Premier League and he is absolutely adored by the London Stadium faithful and David Moyes.
Cantwell is a very good player on his day but there are still question marks hanging over his head as to whether he is good enough to make it at the very highest level.
Some West Ham fans are concerned about the rumour linking Cantwell with a January switch to the London Stadium…
