Hammers linked with Barca misfit again

One name that has cropped up pretty regularly since Moyes sold Sebastien Haller in January is that of Barcelona misfit Martin Braithwaite.

Barca only signed Braithwaite in a special emergency deal when they lost Luis Suarez to injury back in February last year.

The Catalan giants are experiencing a financial crisis and must offload players. Ronald Koeman is in the process of shifting deadwood and 30-year-old Braithwaite is at the top of his list.

And according to a stream of reports from Spain overnight Braithwaite could arrive at West Ham imminently.

Fans underwhelmed by potential arrival and it’s easy to see why

It is easy to see why supporters are completely underwhelmed by links to Braithwaite.

Not only is he the wrong side of 30 – going completely against Moyes’s stated policy of building West Ham around talented young players – but he has also scored only 20 goals for club AND country in the last THREE seasons.

It would scream of desperation too.
