West Ham could look to sign Liverpool ace Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain on loan this summer according to ExWHUemployee.

The Express have backed up those claims this morning.

And some Hammers fans have taken to Twitter in reaction to the speculation.

David Moyes needs to bolster his midfield ranks this summer. The Scot usually likes physically robust players like Tomas Soucek and Declan Rice.

Bearing that in mind, a move to sign Liverpool man Oxlade-Chamberlain would be a really strange move.

The Ox has experienced terrible problems with injuries over the past few years.


Since joining the Reds four years ago, the 27-year-old has missed 493 days of action (Transfermarkt).

Surely the West Ham owners have learned from their past mistakes. Jack Wilshere is a prime example of what can happen when you sign an injury-prone crock. Andy Carroll another one.

West Ham fans really don’t want Oxlade-Chamberlain signed

The Hammers would be wise to avoid a move to sign the Liverpool man this summer.

There are far better options out there available to us. There are certainly more cost effective ones.
