West Ham boss David Moyes desperately needs to bring a top-class central defender to the London Stadium in January.

Following the long-term injuries sustained by Angelo Ogbonna and Kurt Zouma, we are incredibly light in the centre-back position.

RONALDO NEEDS TO STOP WHINING.

The Hammers are still sitting in fourth spot in the Premier League. So we have a fantastic platform from which to kick on.

On top of that, Moyes’s men have a Carabao Cup quarter-final against Tottenham and a Europa League last 16 tie to look forward to.

Strengthening our central defensive department in January will be vital though, if we are to kick on in the new year.

The 24-year-old was brilliant for Liverpool last season when Jurgen Klopp had a real injury crisis to deal with.

Standing at 6ft 3in tall, Phillips is dominant in the air. He is a tenacious tackler and his playing style is a real throwback to years gone by.

He would certainly make us a stronger outfit defensively and would be a real threat from set-pieces as well.

Nat Phillips is a top-class defender and he is at an age now where he needs to be playing regular football.

The Sun claims claims that Moyes could pick Phillips up for just £10 million in the January transfer window.

That seems like an absolute no-brainer for the Hammers.
